the English director's shrewdest move may have been bringing in Goyer to help craft the script. Nolan is an Oscar-nominated screenwriter (for "Memento") but he's a Batman novice; Goyer, who wrote the "Blade" film trilogy, sheepishly admits he knows more about the character than many people at DC Comics.
If that's the criteria, we should start a campaign to get Plei to write the sequel.
Question: Were there any notable "woman gets violent revenge on those who done her wrong" movies prior to
Kill Bill?
I'm drawing a blank on this one.

Oh hell yeah. It's a huge exploitation genre. In fact, most of the movies QT references are variations on the theme, including Lady Snow and They Call Her One Eye. As tommyrot notes, I Spit On Your Grave. Abel Ferrera's Ms. 45. Lipstick, with Mariel Hemingway. The list goes on and on.

This is me, sighing in relief. I cannot WAIT to see this movie!
I was reading the Village Voice review of Lords of Dogtown and came upon this:
Channeling Amy Heckerling for the post-emo era, Hardwicke's pop-Cassavetes melodrama nevertheless rides as smoothly as a big-budget after-school special, capturing youth struggles from an appropriately blown-out teen's-eye perspective.
What the
fuck
kind of sentence is that? The editor should've circled this in red with the note: "WTF?!?" I've been known to bend a few pop cult references into my sentences, but this is a gross abuse of the technique. It's as involute as a Dennis Miller joke.

Would Batbale have to wear clothing?
After American Psycho you know the actor wouldn't object to doing without if the story called for it. Write the thing so he has to track down some villain in the Jamaican Hedonism resort.
