Actually, I kind of liked that scene, at least up until it was just Sheen and the chick. I liked the French patriarch driving everyone away from his table, and the feeling that this happened every night. It didn't necessarily move the story along, but it paced Sheen's journey out, and added a bit of political commentary.

No, it was the playmates-for-fuel scene. I didn't think it did much for the movie at all, really. And I probably would've left out Laurence (or I guess, Larry ) Fishburne's speech about Arvin getting shot.

Just got back from Revenge of the Sith.

Um. If this movie is considered good compared to the first 2 prequels, I am even more glad that I never saw them.

There were a few things I liked about the movie, but on the whole -- it was pretty bad. Yoda cool was, though.

The RotS reviews coming in are making me glad it's damn near impossible for me to get to the theatre anymore.

First time I read this as "Yoda was cool, though." Then I was disapointed that your review had no "Yoda speak," and looked back and caught my mistake.

Look for Yoda-speak you must, sometimes, if to find it you wish.

Emmett is under the impression that Yoda is a serious badass. Though he was also mildly upset about Mace Windu, so I think he'll be primed to appreciate Samuel L. Jackson's Bad Muthafuckah when he's old enough to see Pulp Fiction.

And gory??? I wasn't expecting that graphic of battle injuries.

I will say that the one part I *really* liked was the sequence where (are we still whitefonting?) almost all the Jedi are killed, one by one -- it was really effective. Though realizing that Anakin was about to kill a bunch of kids was really REALLY shocking. I wasn't expecting that at all.

Me too, Steph. I thought that was one of the two reasons for the PG-13 rating.

The other was when you see Anakin, near the end, and ... well, yeah. It was icky.

I have to admit that I am utterly stupid with longing for basically every costume Natalie Portman wore, though I wouldn't turn down much of anything any of the other women wore either.

Last night I even dreamt that I ran into Natalie Portman hiding behind a four-poster bed on a sunny college campus (long involved dream, don't remember much, but do remember that), and I clutched at her and squee'd "That dress you were buried in was SO PRETTY OMG you should have worn it to the prom!" And she clutched me back and squee'd "OMG I so should have. I didn't even think of it. I love that dress I wore when I was dead!"

When I dream about Natalie Portman hiding behind a bed, that's TOTALLY not where it goes next.
