Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kids are some scary fucks, though.

Add power or knowledge to their coveted youth, and they're everyone's nightmare.

Hey. New board.

I love creepy kids. Cuz they're creepy. I'm gonna see Dark Water because I love creepy kids. And Jennifer Connelly. And suffering.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

What about Greta Garbo in Camille? That's one gorjuss consumptive.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

If you want a REALLY creepy kid, try watching the original Bad Seed.

If I only had a brain...

Fulminating TB is well known to bring a mighty dumptruck of beauty to the doorstep.

Now I feel better about my HS insisting I had TB.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

How could I have forgotten Garbo? Of course, I haven't actually seen Camille, I just remember that bit from Annie...

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Creepy kids was overdone back in Star Trek. Ever since then, it's just been a repeat of the same old.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I thought TB was one of those diseases that's supposed to make you look good.

Up with the sun

There's a college that does "Mindset Lists" for each year's incoming freshman class. The worldview of those born in 1985 and 1986.

I remember when the one came out for my freshman class, and was really freaking irritated by it. "Do they think none of us read? Or think?" So, on behalf of the class of 2009 (yikes) .... bah.

(I think there are fewer ridiculous overgeneralizations in these than there were in mine. Or maybe I'm just less easily offended now.)
