Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Everytime a computer card dies, an angel goes tits up.
One computer card dies, another is punched.
Whoa, if it's one computer card/generation, that's gonna be a sloooow program.

Don't forget the exponential increase in the storage density of computer media.
I really love this place.

Flashing back to our SATs, are we?
Flashing back to our SATs, are we?
Wow, your SATs were much more fun than mine.
I finally saw Saved! It was all right. Mostly funny, generally decent. It wasn't as supermegaawesome as I'd been led to believe, but that's okay. Cause I like Jena Malone.
I saw Episode III today. Yes, the dialogue and acting were pretty bad, but I still really enjoyed it, though it wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped. It seemed less imaginative than the other films, including Episodes I and II. The special effects were awesome, of course, and Lucas does know how to give a movie that epic feeling.
Then I saw The Muppets' Wizard of Oz on TV, and it was surprisingly brilliant. Very funny and clever. And it had a very bizzare cameo appearance by Quentin Tarantino. Seriously I think it's the best movie I've seen in a long time. It was even better than Sin City and Gong fu, even if it was clearly low budget and had crappy special effects.
