Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

I saw H2G2 twice this weekend. I loved it. The casting is perfect. Martin Freeman had some great line deliveries. My favorite scene was Arthur seeing the Magrathea planet factory. His reaction was beautiful. With the sweeping shots and music I felt like I was there with him.. One thing that surprised me was the major Ford/Arthur slashyness. I liked it, but I was surprised.

Before I saw the movie the second time I went into Suncoast and they had the charactor knit dolls so I bought Marvin. He's sitting next to my bed.

I definitely plan to see this movie again but at a different theater. Maybe then I'll get the Serenity trailer.

Ann, that's a ferret.

From sumi's link:

New Line Pictures has announced that "The Divine Comedy: Inferno," an updated version of the classic comic poem by Dante Alighieri, will begin production in June 2005 for a summer 2007 release.

Comic????? COMIC??????

Although in this climate, I could see a remake of Dante's Inferno.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Well, it was made into a comic: [link]

Ah. Well, I could still see a remake of the Spencer Tracy film.

Art Crawl!!!

How'd this get into the Shirtless Orlando thing.

I think he looks pretty much the same as he did for Troy.

Eee! Want!

They were $12 each. I got mine for $6 because of my Suncoast card and $5 coupon.
