I saw Constantine on the weekend. As an old Hellblazer fan, I didn't hate it. No, really. It wasn't a goood movie, but it had lots to like, including the director working some really odd shots and angles that were comic book shots. Keanu? Tolerable, mostly. Rachel Weisz in full-blown, late stage demonic possession? Still yummy.
OTOH, saw Million Dollar Baby the day before and was pretty much blown away.
It's from the same people as
Ice Age,
so I'm not expecting all that much.
The clips and trailers I've seen look very very annoying. Lots of Robin Williams being insanely hyperactive, and not much else.
Just jumping in in the first quarter...
I'm going to give Rodriguez the props, since in everything I've read, it was his choice.
Sometimes I wonder if even Robin Williams desperately wishes some animation director would finally ask him to act, instead of having him be as over the top Robin Williams as he can muster.

Oh, great. Now all the bigshot producer lurkers we have are heading off to greenlight the animated version of Patch Adams and One Hour Photo.
New thread! Yee-haw!
animated version of Patch Adams
I could go for this as long as it features a pack long-suffering sick tykes, lining up to drop an ACME anvil on his head or stick a dynamite in his ass.
Hmmm, full Monty philandering cartoon Michael Vartan...
I thought he did a good job in What Dreams May Come.
But I love that movie, perhaps more than it deserves.
