I watched season 4 in its entirety this weekend. Things of note: Beer Bad is not as bad as I thought it was. It is silly, but enjoyable. Where The Wild Things are is, on the other hand, just as bad if not worse than in my memory.
Also, somehow I forgot the Cheese Guy in Restless, and almost fell out laughing when I saw him in Willow's dream.
I told my cousin about A:tS, and she replied:
"It's on my Netflix list. I was going to finish Buffy first, but it sounds like I should be watching them simultaneously. Angel and Buffy together is my favorite part of the show. Should I hang in there and watch the rest?"
I told her yes, and to watch Angel, too. Then I tried to rank the seasons for her...and forgot how many seasons of Angel there are. I feel so ashamed. I had to google it.
Five, but the fifth season was less than the sum of its parts. Puppet episode was amazeballs, though.

I'll take the 5th season over the 3rd. I still have never seen all of season 3.
The puppet episode was sublime. The episode where Spike was having the visions and the wizard was trying to send him to hell was really good, too.
I named a laptop after Illyria.
There were a lot of good individual episodes in S5.
S5 had the misfortune of following the exquisite perfection of Home with a string of pretty weak "Let's explain why Spike is on this show" reboot-ish eps. But it eventually got going and ended strong. Lots of nice mini-arcs.
