If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.

Spike ,'Same Time, Same Place'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

True story: my cousin just sent me an email:

"Steph, I just started watching Buffy. I am on season 1, episode 7. Please tell me Angel doesn't disappear forever."

AWESOME! I kind of envy her, getting to watch it all new from the beginning.

(I replied "Angel definitely doesn't disappear forever -- I promise! He's around for a LONG time.")

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Please tell her to refrain from reading ANYTHING online about the show. I love the idea of someone coming to this completely without knowledge of what happens. Also, tell her to ignore any comics if she's a comics person at all.

Do not watch more Buffy until you have felt any possible side effects. Do not operate heavy machinery under the influence of Buffy. Other side effects may include...

(I'll leave that for the rest of you to fill in)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

once again I find myself searching for the 'like' button

Email my cousin just sent me:

"Now I'm on season four, and the actor who plays Angel is no longer in the credits. Please tell me he will come back again!"

I think she doesn't know he got his own series. She'll probably be very excited to hear that.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I watched season 4 in its entirety this weekend. Things of note: Beer Bad is not as bad as I thought it was. It is silly, but enjoyable. Where The Wild Things are is, on the other hand, just as bad if not worse than in my memory.

Also, somehow I forgot the Cheese Guy in Restless, and almost fell out laughing when I saw him in Willow's dream.

I told my cousin about A:tS, and she replied:

"It's on my Netflix list. I was going to finish Buffy first, but it sounds like I should be watching them simultaneously. Angel and Buffy together is my favorite part of the show. Should I hang in there and watch the rest?"

I told her yes, and to watch Angel, too. Then I tried to rank the seasons for her...and forgot how many seasons of Angel there are. I feel so ashamed. I had to google it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Five, but the fifth season was less than the sum of its parts. Puppet episode was amazeballs, though.
