There was a lot of non-love in the comments!
They said it was racist! Dumbasses. They know nothing of Lucha Libre's proud history.
I mean, that episode is not only a super affectionate nod to Lucha movies, but it's also incredibly funny
and
it has a lot of heart
and
even as a standalone it reflects nicely back to Angel's story arc for the season.
I bumped into a WEIRD commenter somewhere that thought Smile Time wasn't funny. I have no idea what the topic was, but still. I pointed out that whatever parallels he was drawing would go better with a less popular episode, and they seemed startled. Unsurprisingly to *me*, I got more "me too"s than they did.
HEATHENS.
I hated Numero Cinco and Smile Time. I also hated The Avengers. Do I have to surrender my Buffista card now?

No, but I'm not sharing my au gratin potatoes until you change your mind.

I am pointing and shrieking like Donald Sutherland in Body Snatchers.
I would also like some au gratin potatoes, please.

They're not done yet. At the moment they're taunting me with the delicious scent of their spudly cheesy goodness.

We simply demand your firstborn. (This has nothing to do with your complete and utter wrongness; we just think he's ADORABLE.)
I did not enjoy Numero Cinco. I didn't hate it, but I was just bored.
You guys can have him from midnight-6AM. He hearts to party at night!
