'Objects In Space'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I watched that episode with the Boston-area Buffistas -- the first time I'd met most of them -- and we ALL yelled "GILES!!!!!!" Still one of my favorite experiences of communal fannish glee.

Even better than that was when my BIL's cell phone rang right after the fade to commercial--he's a complete non-geek who had spent the day grilling a geeky co-worker for details about Buffy so he'd be prepared for the evening. We all screamed "GILES!!!!!!!", fade to black, his phone rings, and it's his co-worker saying, "I just realized that I forgot to update you on one very important thing, so I'm calling to explain to you why everyone around you just screamed GILES!!!!!!"

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Where was that? Tom & Noras?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

It was at EllenS's place, I believe. And I *think* Tom and I had just recently got together, too.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can't remember if I was spoiled or not - I can't imagine I wasn't, because S6-7 was the height of my massive spoiler whoredom. But even knowing ASH would return by the end of the season couldn't take anything away from that moment. GILES!!!

(BTW, the librarian at Dylan's kindergarten? Last name is Giles. So I figure there's a good chance he has a Slayer in his class.)

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

JZ, I love that story!

Nora, I think that's right. I miss Ellen! Anyone know how she's doing these days?

She's still living in Somerville (not in the same place though), working for an investment firm, and trotting off to Italy when she can. (and other places.)

She's doing well!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm glad to hear Ellen is doing well. I haven't seen her in ages.

I must have just missed that finale party because I think I became a buffista shortly after that.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Mark got to "Sleep Tight":

Yeah, even for a Buffyverse show, I have to say that this episode is immensely fucked up.

And also:

But I do know that Angel is going to be a wreck in the coming episodes, and that frightens me. How is he going to treat Wesley?

Man, he's not ready for the pillow.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I love how he's sure Connor's not dead/gone for good. He has no idea how he'll be coming back. Bonus flip-out points if Mark is a Mad Men watcher when he sees who's playing him.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

He is a Mad Men watcher, and I can't wait for that flip-out.
