American Gods. I'm not going to argue it's more seminal or influential or would even make a better movie, but I sure had a better time.
Xander ,'Same Time, Same Place'
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
My comment was entirely motivated by knowing what's on his To Be Reviewed List and I don't see a better combination.
However, I am now curious about anybody else's combo pack of Watched/Read.
ita's in for Buffy S2/American Gods.
What's your fandom joy zone?
I'm not a Mark fan, and even if I was up on the existence and contents of his list, I wouldn't imagine it was complete. That would be...shortsighted.

Well, then I have a more informed opinion on the matter of whether It Will Ever Be Better For Mark.
Based on that information: it won't.
He's going to watch Saved by the Bell and read Sweet Valley High romances. That's it. Then he's moving on to Who's the Boss/Xanth, followed by Charmed/Bill Willingham's work that wasn't Fables.
And then, of course, die in a fire.
And then, of course, die in a fire.
Inevitably.
If he mainlines 9 seasons of Charmed while reading Bill Willingham, the fire will be a welcome relief.
My personal pick for maximum TV season/book enjoyment would probably be Buffy Season 1/The Hobbit, or There and Back Again. Though depending on my mood I might substitute A Wrinkle in Time, A Wizard of Earthsea or The Face in the Frost for the latter.
Huh. I kind of liked Fables. Not Gaiman, but a lot of fun.
I kind of liked Fables.
That's why it was excluded.
