Bunnies frighten me.

Anya ,'Help'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I'm amazed at what they did with his character. Defnitely one of the great character arcs (if not the greatest) in the Whedonverse(s).

It's certainly my most favorite character arc. I totally love what happened with Wesley, right down to his final moments.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

For some reason, I was thinking about Buffyverse final moments on the drive in this morning (specifically Lindsey's), which got me wondering--who do you think had the best death in the Buffyverse, and who had the worst? (however you want to judge both.)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Worst death is Anya. What the hell.

Best death...hm, lots of choices.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Best death

I think Doyle. Despite the Nazis.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Worst death is Anya. What the hell.

I don't see that as much different than Wash or t /memfault on Dollhouse. Lindsay's was pretty sad.

I get killed by a flunky!??!?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I actually think Cordelia's was the worst death. And I'm not sure even Anya's can rival that.

Because books.

I think the worst death was Tara's, with Jenny Calendar's a close second.

Best death? Maybe Spike's in the finale, even though it didn't end up being a true death. He was so viciously ready to greet it, even if he was a little high on the martydom of it all.

I think in terms of Firefly/Serenity, Book's was worse than Wash's. Wash's hurt more (and I still have never seen the actual scene), but at least he was doing something when he died. Book was just collateral damage.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, I think Wash's death drove home the "anyone, anytime, don't exhale" message that Joss is so fond of. Book? He just kinda died when no one was looking.

Yet? People so much less upset. Saddens me.

In my head, Cordelia's death is redeemed by Charisma's last episode which was some of the best Cordy I'd seen in a long time. Her character had gone way off the rails for me, but now I remember her more fondly than she deserves.

Yeah, right now I can't even recall how Cordy actually died. The last memory I have of her is being awesome, like you.
