Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

It's a real delight, watching along with someone who's seeing it for the first time and has absolutely no idea what's coming. WHO ARE YOU ANGEL. That's what we were all saying! I wonder if Joss named him Angel to make us think he maybe was one.

I recall thinking he might be a partially reformed fallen one up until his eponymous episode revealed the truth.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I had insomnia the other night, and watched all of S1 Buffy (okay, part of it on fast forward) because of Mark watching. I hadn't seen it in ages!

I definitely liked S2 and S3 more, but S1 was fun.

Those three seasons collectively set the high water mark for how good television can be as far as I'm concerned. The only things that come close to being that enjoyable a viewing experience for me are Wonderfalls, Farscape and the first two seasons of Angel.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

At ten years of age, he learned his whole life had been planned out for him. And now he’s waited since then for Buffy, hasn’t he? The thing is, Giles just openly accepted his fate...

oh ha ha ha ha!

I cannot wait to hear how he reacts to the big revelation in Angel and then the end of Surprise.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Reading the Mark Watches thread made me go back and look at our archives and pulled up Buffy 10.

Dayum, we were talky. Ple was hating on Xander. Jessica was hating on Willow. And I found myself welcoming Vonnie to the board for the first time, and also seeing where Elena proposes the Coffee On My Monitor thread.

******

Rebecca Lizard: Babe, if I were drinking coffee, and if I were the type to splutter, it would be on my keyboard. Hypothetical coffee compliments.

Elena: I wish we could have a TT type thread, maybe called "Coffee on my Moniter" where we could stick posts we absolutely love but don't have space to tag.
