I like the Riley-as-Glory idea! And if they'd brought Lilah back, instead of Eve maybe we could have had Christina Hendricks as Glory.
A win-win.
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

I think if they'd just cast any more experienced actress for Glory it would have worked out better. The shows got so much good work out of older antagonists played by actors like Mark Metcalf, Harry Groener, Sam Anderson, and Keith Szara-whatever, but Lindsay Crouse is the only actress of middle age or older that I recall them casting in a recurring role.
Not that Juliet Landau, Stephanie Romanov, and Gina Torres weren't all wonderful, but I wish casting directors had been more mindful that young, beautiful, and talented triple threats are rare and prioritizing the first over the third can cause problems. There's no real reason that Glory couldn't have been played by a Lena Olin type, for example.

Kristine Sutherland is really hurt right now.
Ah, I was thinking in terms of recurring villains. But you're right, they did give one actress over 40 a fairly important role throughout.
I was watching when Roslind Shays "took her plunge". It was totally random, I was in the TV room at the dorm, which I never went to and suddenly, BAM! She was out!
So was I!
Well, not at your dorm. That'd be creepy.
But it was a show I didn't watch and I just blipped onto it in time to watch the scene preceding it and then blammo, elevator shaft.

Well, it was the TV room, not like it was my bathroom or something.

Yeah. She really looked remarkably like him though -- watched it again recently with Laura and the resemblance is pretty cool.
Seth Green is on The View right now being adorable.

I think adorable is his default setting.
not on Entourage. "Tell Sloane I said "what's up?" But even that is kind of adorable, because he played Himself as a total prick with such relish. But seeing him on Buffy first left me unprepared the first time I heard that he made Eric's girlfriend's face "look like a Jackson Pollack"
