Jayne: 'Cause I don't know these folks. Don't much care to. Mal: They're whores. Jayne: I'm in.

'Heart Of Gold'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Seth Green is on The View right now being adorable.

I think adorable is his default setting.

Always Anti-fascist!

not on Entourage. "Tell Sloane I said "what's up?" But even that is kind of adorable, because he played Himself as a total prick with such relish. But seeing him on Buffy first left me unprepared the first time I heard that he made Eric's girlfriend's face "look like a Jackson Pollack"

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

rewatching S2 and on Reptile Boy. "makita?!?!" they're worshiping a brand of hand tools?!?!

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Or that hockey player (the one they name-check in Wayne's World).

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

"makita?!?!" they're worshiping a brand of hand tools?!?!

ISTR discussion of that in the commentary.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I'm watching on Hulu, so no commentary for me! I also almost screamed at the screen when Cordy told Buffy to not wear anything black, chiffon, or spandex "because that's my thing" and then next scene showed up in light blue silk while Buffy was wearing a slinky LBD and there wasn't even a glare.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

In his DVD commentary for this episode, writer/director David Greenwalt says that when he wrote the episode he thought that he had invented a great demon name, Machida. He later realized that he had been inspired by the word Makita, which he had seen written on the drills carried by the show's grips.

AHAHA! LOL. I heart the internet

on becoming 2...how does Buffy know Drusilla killed Kendra? Cordelia was already long gone, Giles and Xander were out cold, Spike didn't know yet....

ye gods, how i love this show.

wait, and did Spike just knock Dru out with a choke hold? I thought it was pretty clear these vampire don't breathe...hence Angel surviving on the bottom of the ocean.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

And their hearts don't beat, so it wasn't from blocking off the carotid arteries either. Joss and Jeff really fell down on that scene.

Instead of stopping her via choking, they should have had Spike throw a bunch of rice or mustard seeds at her feet and convince her she had to stop and count them all.
