Hands! Hands in new places!

Willow ,'Storyteller'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

I just found out about the Movie of Wrong on Metafilter, and my first thought was to come here, where people would share my nerd rage.

I am not disappointed. Well, I am, but in the universe for allowing this movie to happen. Not in you guys.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm just not ready.

The sick thing is, if this movie actually happens I'll probably end up watching it. I mean, not pay money for it, but buy a ticket to something else and sneak in like I did for The Last Airbender.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am never ready for a crappy remake of a great original which has an entire SERIES full of awesome.

It could be Dark Knight Buffy, staking sparkly vampires.

All I know is, no one consulted me. I mean seriously, they couldn't have called?

Or maybe the writer will choke and this will be the foretold Tim Minear episode of Buffy.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Joss who? Meet the writer of the new 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' film:

"The thing that was so wonderful about 'Buffy' is what made it special was so timeless," Anderson said. "The deep struggle she had with duty and destiny, that tug between what you're supposed to be doing and what you want to be doing. The fate of the world is on her shoulders, but some days she wakes up, and she just doesn’t want to do it. And are we doomed and destined to love someone? That conflict was very interesting to me. Those are the things I loved about her and her world. She also represents — like all the heroes — something empowering for us. She reminds us of what we could be if we were in our top form, the best of us if we were at our very best, and even then we still see the vulnerability and doubts she has inside. That's where we all connect."

I didn't realize the writer was a young woman. Who, according to IMDb, has had bit parts in movies but hasn't written anything before.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I like the way you think, Allyson!

Oh, hey, maybe it will be Juno/Buffy.
