Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Not for naught, Daniel. Snark, especially letter snark, is never for naught.

What is even happening?

So...the Paley Center has this poll up about the greatest TV vampire. Until today, Mick St. John was winning. Who -- you ask. Exactly.

Spike and Angel are both on there. Heaven knows I love me some Spike, but Angel has the most epic arc of all time. He's now losing to Spike. Somehow, that just seems wrong to me. Let him lose to Barnabas Collins if he must, but to Spike? I...just no. Anyhow, vote your conscience. [link]

(Your conscience wants Angel. Who's more badass than Angelus? Who's more tortured than our broody baby? No one, that's who.)

If this were a just world, Darla would win in a walk.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

A vote for Angel is a vote for puppies! Do you hate puppies? DO YOU? Of course you don't. Then vote for Angel, sheesh.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I suppose Henry Fitzroy and Nick Knight are disqualified on the grounds that they're *Canadian* vampires? Feh. Lacroix alone could take on alla those guys. Excepting Dru--those two would rampage happily off hand in hand, probably.

Darla does not need your affirmation or approval. Darla may offer petty rewards for your support, but quite frankly she is lying, and the only reward you can realistically hope for is a swift death. And she may not even give you that if you seem to be kinda into the idea. (Hi Lindsey!)

Darla will be continue to be awesome whether you recognize it or not. A vote for Darla gains you nothing, except the simple knowledge that when you had to choose, you chose truth.

Also: Darla hit Angel over the head with a shovel. I rest my case.

I always thought Darla was a bit of a twit. I'd vote for Dru before Darla. Dru was completely crazy sauce, and I respect that.

Drusilla. No gypsy curse, no chip, no pining for a soul, no being brought back as a human in a box. Dru is, and always will be, the top Buffyverse vampire.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm with Jilli. Crazy as she was, Dru was the only one of the big four who was never defanged. She wins at being a vampire.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It was a close thing for me, as I love Drusilla so. But then I remembered the evil version of Angel from Buffy Season 2 and had to admit I've never enjoyed another TV vampire more.
