I didn't get the sense that Buffy necessarily wanted kids, but the fact that she (theoretically, given Connor) wouldn't have the option with her vampire boyfriends was a stumbling block and reminder of the un-normalness of her life.

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
Plus, she seemed pretty pole-axed finding out Principal Wood's mom was a slayer. I don't think she even considered a slayer might live long enough to be a mother.
I think seeing Buffy as a mom would be really interesting. That said, starring in a movie while pregnant seems like about the 6th circle of hell to me. Of course, starring in a movie even when not pregnant doesn't sound that great to me, which is one of many, many reasons that I'm not a movie star.
If there is a movie, seriously doubt it will happen during this pregnancy. Unless I'm mistaken, not yet either a deal or a script. To get from that to actually shooting scenes would take more than nine months, even if a deal were inked tomorrow. Am I underestimating how fast Hollywood moves?
No. I mean, TV could work that fast, but movies could take years, right?
Yeah, it didn't seem like it would happen, but I was just going off on a tangent. I know that's not common here, but, well...
I'm sorry, but I just couldn't finish that sentence. I couldn't do it.
Buffy movie definitely not happening. The Buffy movie rumour from about 6 months ago was somehow started by me - I wrote an article saying they should make a Buffy movie, and of course a newspaper quoted me a 'Hollywood insider' (I work for a food company) and said a script was "in development" (I never said or implied that). Anyway, the upshot was the story got syndicated all over the place, back down to BBC radio. Tony Head heard it, rang Joss, Joss was like 'Oh hey, no, nobody has ever even suggested it from Fox. Kevin!'.
Darn. Because it would be nice to see what's happened to the gang in the last six years.

You know about the "Season 8" comic books, right? They're overseen by Joss.
I know they're out there but haven't read them. Do they take the story up to today? Or just one more season?
