Uh, since when did Whedon want Brendan in the role of Mal Reynolds? I hadn't any idea!
That seems like fanon, to me. Buffy was still on the air when Firefly premiered, and Xander had already become a nearly secondary (tertiary) character. Maybe Joss said he wanted Mal to be a Xander-type who was damaged by the war, or something.
I wouldn't count on that article for facts since it says Fillion went from Buffy to Firefly. Wasn't he in Firefly first?
Yes. And they referred to the Initiative as the Syndicate. Hmph. Know nothings.
Okay, so "the Guild" - Season 2 just started and it is on MSN instead of youtube.
I must confess that while I find the show funny, her relationship to super-stalker who has moved in really creeps me out. Does anyone feel the same way?
I got sucked into some fanfic with Mal/Jayne with Mal as a closet drag queen, and...
Hmm. I got nothing to finish that statement. BUT I COULDN'T STOP READING.
And laughing. And then I read some more. There was lots. I couldn't stop.
But NB as Mal? Doesn't work for me. Yeah. That's my sequitor.
Oh yes, very.
I hadn't heard of the show before now, but watched the first few and had to quit. Too creepy, not enough funny.
I haven't started season 2 of The Guild yet but I'm surprised she's still putting up with the stalker. I hope it makes sense in context.
I hope it makes sense in context.
uh, keep hope alive?
Yeah, at the end there, I mean, it was funny WRT the T1 line, but also icky as they were leaning in - I don't expect it to end in smoochies, though. Just the fact that he moved with her when she was evicted, or that she didn't stop him... yeah, no. But, then again, the gating off of the kids is so extreme. It's just all so very over-the-top that I'm not really bothered by it. Plus, have never been stalked or had kids, so those two lines in the story don't ping me hard personally. The burnt tater-tots on the other hand? Tragic.
Creepy though he is, I find his "Kinko-ed," "Obvioused," etc. funny. Though that might be just about (over)running its course.
