I like to watch Pangs on or around Thanksgiving.
I showed Pangs to my 7th and 8th graders today. I showed them Fear Itself at Halloween. I'm trying to hook them early!
'Sleeper'
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

I can see Pangs as a reasonable intro into discussing Thanksgiving and the treatment of the Indians.
I'd take my copy with me, but the odds I could get my family to watch are right there with the odds of being hit by a meteorite.
Since I teach drama, I can use Buffy eps to teach all kinds of things: plot, conflict, character, setting, theme, mood, acting, movement. I plan on using Hush when I teach my 6th graders about pantomime.
Dr. Horrible DVD is up for pre-order!
Also, courtesy of Whedonesque, have some song parodies in celebration:
The One True B!x, "Everything You Ever"
AlanD, "Bad Horse"
missb, "Brand New Day"
Polter-Cow, "My Eyes"
The universe is imploding. My Mom sent me this link today. Where are they now?
Some of our kids are looking a little rough. Eliza and Amber look awesome, though.
Uh, since when did Whedon want Brendan in the role of Mal Reynolds? I hadn't any idea!
I really can't believe that. I like Nick, but he doesn't have the chops or the, I think presence is the word I want, to carry the role of Mal.
Dave, now. Dave coulda done it.
Even though anybody but Nathan in the role is just...wrong.

Especially given the "now" picture they used-- he bore an eerie resemblance to Jack Nicholson's Joker, sans makeup. Which really... not such a compliment.
