Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

It has luchadors! AND midget luchadors! And ghost luchadors! If it'd had ghost midget luchadors it would have been perfect.

I dunno, I think Bell's sense of humor is very close to mine, so that's a big part of it. Bitter, crabby Angel usually entertains me. And then it's a big signpost pointing to the finale, so bonus points for that.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Numero Cinco is perhaps my favorite Angel episode.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

...there's love for this episode? What? Where? And for the love of God, why?

This is the single best hour of television ever created. Bar none.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I think that you have to have a basic love of wrestling to get it/love it. I really like the ep, but I spent Saturday mornings of my childhood watching Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (he was dreeeeamy), Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and Rick Flair (woo!)

I'm pretty sure that you don't, since... I don't.

But I couldn't put it in the "best ever" category. I mean, Spike's in it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Nope - I have zero interest in wrestling of any kind, but I do adore Numero Cinco. I don't know that I'd label it "best hour of television ever created," but it's definitely way up there on my list of favorite standalone AtS eps. It's just got such fantastic tight storytelling. Plus El Diablo Robotico.

Love is perhaps a strong word. Enjoyment?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Seconded. I mean, you don't have to know anything about wrestling to love a line like "The devil has built a robot!"

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I didn't hate Numero Cinco but (like Shir) I felt like I never was able to cross my eyes enough to see the sailboat.

Me too!

(And I also don't have a love of wrestling..although I do love OTT Show Folk)
