And while I won't say the Scrappy gang was the most brilliant idea ever, it could have been used as part of a return to high school theme for S7. Which would have been an improvement over the Potentials arc that happened.
I agree.
Buffy pulling pranks in the episode where she is invisible.
I agree.
I can't think of any on my own, though....
I'll agree on Buffy's pranks because they were malicious and mostly aimed at strangers.
I'll vote for the Sweet summonage because of the way it was wrapped up. "Hey, just trying to make Anya happy -- and let's not talk about the dead people."
I'd say even more was not so much the summoning but the
not copping to it
when people started immolating.
that was really strange, wasn't it (re: Xander not copping to bringing forth the demon!)?
Riley -- Offering to become a vampire nummy treat.
yes. God.
One thing that bothers me is Season 4 of Angel. WTF was Angelus? When Angel "turned" he was like a neutered Angelus. He wasn't the bloodthirsty vampire I had come to know from Buffy S2.
I'd say even more was not so much the summoning but the not copping to it when people started immolating.
The only way I've been able to deal with this is by saying that it's a musical so the plot doesn't have to make sense.
But that was one of the shining achievements of OMWF, IME. That all the singing
did
relate to and move forward the plot, none of it was a one-off.
but why wouldn't Xander have told about the amulet during "I've Got a Feeling?"
I've got a feeling
That I screwed up here ...
Yeah. The summoning should have been accidental, somehow. He picked it up while humming a silly tune of some sort, then accidentally threw it in the vial of virgin's blood or something.
Here's the thing that bugs - one tiny change could have fixed it, I think. During Walk Through the Fire, Tara has a line "
everything is turning out so dark".
If Xander had sung that one line I think the whole thing wouldn't have seemed such an asspull.
