That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Buffy ,'Potential'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'm excited. One of my friends and I have been talking about making some time to spend together. She has a husband and a son health issues, so the usual drink or dinner out is hard for her. We made some time last night, I brought pizza over and we hung out. Then she said "you know, i've never seen buffy. what say you bring the DVDs over and we watch them?" SO EXCITED. A new buffista.

Compassionately intolerant

Toaster!

And a great way to spend buddy time together.

I did that with a friend when ROME was on HBO. Gotta say those where some excellent Sunday evenings. All 12 of them.

Congrats on the Fanufacture.

Totally. I've had a few friends I've done that with (also, general "get together and watch a bizarre movie or two" nights). It used to be a weekly or near weekly thing. Unfortunately, everyone I used to do that with is scattered.

Always Anti-fascist!

My poor mom got the worst intro for a newbie ever because we started watching in real-time with "Normal Again". She actually turned to me and said "Ok, what the hell was that?" But FX started evening Buffy and a fan was born.

Hey. New board.

I quite like "Normal Again." I was probably the only one pushing for the finale to end with her waking up in the mental hospital again.

The outcry would have been awesome.

(P.S. I wouldn't actually have liked that.)

What is even happening?

Gris, if they were going to have a there-is-no-victory sort of post-modern ending, it would have had to be a shot of Spike dancing with Dru on Buffy's grave.

(and I wouldn't like that ^ either)

I'm so jealous of your friend, Vortex. She gets it all brand new and shiny and fresh, with you as her sherpa--a sherpa who cries at all the right moments.

eta...

I sure hope 'sherpa' is the word I'm thinking of.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I quite like "Normal Again."

Me too. One of my favorites of the season. And of the series, probably, though maybe not in the top ten. I just thought all the metaphorical psychobabble was so cleverly done that they really gave you the horrifying idea that it could be true. Not for the show itself, but just in general.

Because books.

Aw. Seth Green is on Sesame Street this morning as the Letter of the Month Club rep. So adorable.
