Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I thought Jasmine didn't fully have her hooks in Cordy until Lorne tried to get her memory back for her (don't remember the name of the episode)?

Slouching Toward Bethlehem, IIRC.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

He was trying to get to Angel, period. That's what he used the sluks to do.

Aha, thanks. My DVDs are packed in boxes.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And apropos-ishly, an interesting LJ post about Cordelia and characterization problems in season 3.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I'm on S4 now. It turns out I'm more confused rather than less. Still, I liked my silly dream better because it let me handwave St. Cordy, and that means a lot.

Also, that's a nice article Dana. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone ever wonder why Joyce kept her married name?

What is even happening?

I know lots of people who do. I don't think it was ever mentioned in canon, but I would say Joyce wanted to keep the same name as her child(ren).

exactly what i was going to say, Cindy. that's why my sister did it. in fact, she gave her daughter her ex's name even though she isn't his because she wanted them all to have the same last name.

It was just one of those going-to-sleep thoughts; it seems like the divorce wasn't so wonderful, and most women I know who divorce nowadays take their name back, if they gave it up at all.

None of my divorced friends have kids, though.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

My mom kept her married name. Her logic? "That's been my name for 30 years, I don't know why I should have to change it because my husband's a jerk."

Compassionately intolerant

That's my logic.
My last name is hyphenated. The first one is my father's name-the second is my ex-husband's name. Together...it is my name.

It helps that I like my ex and my father has met his reward. As someone who is very name identified as a professional, I'd have a hard time changing it at this late date, remarriage or no.
