I think it ceased to be just a law firm, even in "Home." What with the esoteric research lab and all.
D'oh. X-post.
'Touched'
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Gunn-style forged McLaw degree.
It is California.
While watching Psycho Beach Party tonight, I was struck by the fact that Lauren Ambrose has been paired onscreen with Eric Balfour, Seth Green and Nicholas Brendon. It's a thing. I can't tell if this means that she's going to star opposite Alexis Denisof next, or whether it's inevitable for her to work with Joss some day.
No, she still has to go through David Boreanez and James Marsters then Alexis. Or maybe ASH and then Alexis.
Sounds kinda porny.
And you know, Miss Narrator was, at one time or another, not disinclined to look twice at him, either. *Cough*
I know not of what you speak, madam. ::innocent blink:: *cough*
If they're agreeing to be employees, they've got nothing at stake if the company makes a profit or not. This is the conversation we should have seen: "If you do this, our stocks will plummet!" "Yes, and?" "You might get fired!" "Yes, and?" "The company will go out of business!" "Yes, and?" "..."I have yet to rewatch season 5, and missed some along the way, but my interpretation of it was, if they didn't keep the company afloat, they didn't get to keep the power/goodies, and they felt like it was better to fight from within the belly of the beast, than against the beast itself.

I love Lauren Ambrose, but I think she should have to save ASH for last. I'd make Alexis second to last. I think I'd make it JM, then DB, then AD, then ASH.
Narrator, I think you need lozenge.

That's how it was in S5, but not how it was offered in Home. If the SP's are vacating this plane of existance and giving away W&H as a parting gift, then the SP's shouldn't control W&H anymore, and Angel etc shouldn't have to answer for them. Somewhere in between Home and Conviction, TPTB changed the tules. (And by TPTB, I mean the WB/writers.)
I assumed that, even though they were employees, there was some profit-sharing plan and the branch had to be successful for them to get a pay off. I dunno. Once they morphed the thing from a law firm to a sort-of-corporation I gave up trying to understand the structure of the place.
If the SP's are vacating this plane of existance
Were they? I thought at the time they were leaving LA. Not Earth, and not this plane.
But my memory is jumbled.
I adore Lauren Ambrose beyond all reason, but I think ASH may be too old for her. Perhaps.
