Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
there was a rule on that Joss was never allowed in a room alone with her again
What the FUCK.
Very glad to see ASH speaking up but it's still hard to fathom how he could be so totally unaware. Which is part of how toxic people like JW work, of course.
Right. There's a now-famously abusive person now-formerly at my employer, and my former boss worked with him a lot and never had a bad experience. It doesn't make her doubt any of the people who did, of course, but she says she really never saw it.
Some abusers and predators are really good at figuring out who they can and can't display their baser tendencies in front of, and covering up accordingly.
Jose Molina has said Whedon bragged about making women writing for the show cry when giving them story notes.
And I'm glad people are saying something but why not say something sooner?
At the very least said something as soon as Ray Fisher spoke out.
James Marsters has posted a message of support on Twitter.

David Boreanaz and Amy Acker [link]
I had read DB's tweet and felt it was a little.. generic but it's good to see that he has been supportive privately.
I've kind of been keeping track of whose said things. I'm not expecting anything from Nick Brendon but I was expecting something from Alyson Hannigan at least but it looks like she hasn't said anything.
Have Amy Acker or Eliza Dushku made a statement? I know they kept working with Joss and Mutant Enemy after Buffy/Angel ended.
chrismg, in addition to the comment from Amy Acker, to which sj linked above, Eliza Dushku responded to Charisma Carpenter on Instagram. She did it with screenshots of a statement she typed. [link]
The way it's displayed (three small photos with text), and CC's response, made me wonder if it was perhaps excerpts of a longer private message ED sent directly to CC. I've typed it out here, in case we have members who can't read ED's Insta post. Please excuse any typos.

CC, my heart aches for you & I'm so sorry you have held this for so long. Your post was powerful, painful, and painted a picture we'll collectively never un-see or un-know. Thank you. I hadn't known it and I won't forget it.

I frequently think of the saying, "We are as sick as our secrets." Our secrets indeed make and keep us sick. What I'm learning more and more — and have personally found most valuable — that profound healing can only come from naming and disclosing what actually happened, the necessary first step (once someone's ready) to freeing ourselves from our secrets, untold truths which have kept us isolated, ashamed, and held hostage.
Neglecting to "name" the power/gender/sexual/racial abuse epidemic in the entertainment industry (and for that matter society in general), enables the abusers and only emboldens and ultimately fortifies abusive systems.

May you and countless others feel the solidarity and connection you have likely missed for too long. From courage, come change and hope. It starts and will end because of courageous truth-tellers like you. I admire, respect, and love you.
CC replied to ED [link] , saying:
I owe you an apology. I never lent my voice to you privately nor publicly when you shared your truth after suffering sexual misconduct in the workplace. As I wrote to you privately, this makes your statement of support sweeter. And as I said to J, your loving embrace empowers others to feel safe to share their stories. Thank you for being who you are. Thank you for your inspiring words of support. I will never forget how you have made me feel. 💖
I believe the "J" CC mentioned is J. August Richards.
