Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

I was listening to my Simon and Garfunkel boxed set last night, and their cover of "Bye Bye Love" came on. I was immediately reminded of the version of that song in All That Jazz, sung by Vereen ("Folks, let me lay on you a so-so entertainer, not much of a humanitarian, and this cat was never nobody's friend.") and Roy Scheider.

Love that movie.

What is even happening?

Also, I feel like Ben Vereen should never be off-topic.
How could he be? Really.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Ben Vereen is on-topic in this thread b/c of Sweet's amazing similarity to Ben Vereen in OMWF.

Dana, I was sure that you were rolling with laughter back in Season 4 when they gave Rubenstein that "my corner of the sky" line.

I was saying how could he be off topic, and do agree with the Sweet comparison.

I kept hoping in season 6 or 7, that they'd bring back Hinton Battle as a different demon, and Buffy would keep wondering if she knew him from somewhere.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I was sure that you were rolling with laughter back in Season 4 when they gave Rubenstein that "my corner of the sky" line.

It's entirely possible that I was, and have just forgotten. In fact, it's possible that I've had this moment of WTF? several times before. I am my own time loop.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

When I saw him on Angel playing Holland Manners' replacement (what was his name?

Linwood

Thank you! I was going to say "Lindsey," but I knew that that wasn't right. Although he also got something chopped off, just not his hand.

I believe it was his head. Through a decisive use of a PDA stylus by Lilah.

That was a very cool move by Lilah, and made her much more than an ineffectual evil-wanna-be IMO. Up to that point, she let the higher-ups at W&H push her around; going over Linwood's head (literally, in this case, as she pointed out) gave her a certain level of ruthlessness that I really enjoyed.
