Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Daniel Craig looks to me vaguely like what happens when you squish Barbie's head down with your thumb. In a nonetheless attractive way.

My brain-fry actor-name problem is with Keiths and Davids: there's a character actor named Keith David, and one named David Keith, and they look nothing alike, and even when I look it up I can never keep them apart in my brain for long.

Colin Ferguson -> Craig Ferguson -> Daniel Craig -> Daniel Day-Lewis -> Lewis Black -> Claudia Black

Of course, it's only one (all-Canadian!) leap to Colin Mochrie, but, I don't know anybody else with the last name Mochrie.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mochrie.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Well, I guess Craig Ferguson could be considered attractive, but he's a little too... jolly? to be called hot. There is some kind of distinction, even if it's only in my head.

Daniel Craig looks to me vaguely like what happens when you squish Barbie's head down with your thumb.

Hahaha. He does have an abnormally small head. And yet. Still with the hotness.

Ditto on Keith David and David Keith. I know one of them is black and the other white. I never remember which one is which though.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I've never heard of David Keith, but Keith David is the black one. Voice of Goliath!

Wasn't David Keith Richard Gere's buddy who hung himself in An Officer and a Gentleman?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Wasn't David Keith Richard Gere's buddy who hung himself in An Officer and a Gentleman?

IIRC, yes.

eta: just checked IMDB to verify. Yes. That is him. Why I even doubted myself, I don't know. That was/is one of my little sister's fav movies. I think I've seen it at least 15 times.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

He also played Drew Barrymore's dad in FIRESTARTER.

How the HELL do I know that?!??!?

I used to get him confused with Dennis Quaid back in the 1980s, that's why I remember him.

That's one of those tragic minor character roles that stay with you for a long time, even more than what happened with the protagonists. Sort of like the poor Brad Dourif's character on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
