Since humans are incapable of figuring out something more than once, Henry never again was able to figure out how to make the device work and he moved on.

or, Jason zapped him so many times that he eventually got frustrated and gave up/moved on to another idea.

I don't think that Jason has the knowledge to build it, even if he stole the originial idea from Henry. Remember, he couldn't solve the equation, even "knowing" the answer.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

My take on that is that 20 years of using the memory device to cheat has made him intellectually lazy, so he would have been able to build it based on Henry's original designs, even if he couldn't do it now.

I think you play to your strengths. If you cheat and steal to keep control over your life, then that's your go to. I don't think you bother to figure much out beyond that.

We lost a couple of scenes for time. I would have liked to see them back. Just because they were slower scenes and it gave a bit of breathing room.

But you get no points for making a great 47 minute show.
