Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that Tahmoh Penikutt's dad was the premier of the Yukon or something.

Umm, that's all I know.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

All I know is that he hits a heavy bag like someone who actually knows how to throw a proper punch. Plus OMG Helo/Chief, but I'll stop now.

Mmm, Nordic; maybe he's got some Laplander genes in his background? I don't know why I'm wondering about this--I'm just curious what produced such a prettypretty face.

I was just reading the Helo thread over at TWOP, and saw this from an interview with him:

Tahmoh's mother, Lulla Sierra Johns, is part of the Dene Nation and was born in a tent in Snag, a tiny community near the Alaska border where the coldest temperature on earth (-63 degrees C) was recorded.

So I wasn't wrong about the slightly Asiatic features; I was originally thinking Siberian, but decided on Central Asian, when I should have been thinking Native American!

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I was trying to remember if I read this here or not, but it was on LJ.

Apparently, at Comic Con, someone stood up in the SGA panel and asked David Hewlett why he was so awesome.

I saw that on lj, too, and I feel like I must've missed something. That seemed to be connected to some post card thing. What was the deal?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

slodwick organized a little thing where people sent postcards to Hewlett with the question, "David Hewlett, how are you so awesome?" Apparently it's a Martin Gero quote from some season 1 commentary.

But it's true! He's made of awesome!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Apparently, at Comic Con, someone stood up in the SGA panel and asked David Hewlett why he was so awesome.

Yeah, someone did. It didn't ping me as strange, though, since pretty much *every* question/comment at Comic Con tends to be along those lines. ("Hi, I first of all just wanted to say that I really love your show, and my question is, I just wanted to say that you're awesome! Um.")

I do remember three questions in a row that all began "My question is for David Hewlett, and you're going to hate me for this..." None of them were particularly hate-inspiring, however, just boring. One of them may have been the awesome line.

Oddly, the smartest TV panel I attended was the Jericho screening. Without a fanbase or anything to nitpick, all of the questions were relatively cogent versions of "Will this show be smart enough for me?" (And mostly related to Lost's disappointing S2.)

He is! Aw, that's very sweet - the postcard thing.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I've been offline at Comic Con for the past 4 days

Dude! I saw you there! You were leaving the convention center and I thought, "That looks exactly like photos I've seen of Jessica. But she lives in New York, what are the odds she flew out here?" The BSG panel ruled, but where the hell were our promos???? I was so bummed that there was nothing.
