I was trying to remember if I read this here or not, but it was on LJ.
Apparently, at Comic Con, someone stood up in the SGA panel and asked David Hewlett why he was so awesome.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I saw that on lj, too, and I feel like I must've missed something. That seemed to be connected to some post card thing. What was the deal?
slodwick organized a little thing where people sent postcards to Hewlett with the question, "David Hewlett, how are you so awesome?" Apparently it's a Martin Gero quote from some season 1 commentary.
But it's true! He's made of awesome!

Yeah, someone did. It didn't ping me as strange, though, since pretty much *every* question/comment at Comic Con tends to be along those lines. ("Hi, I first of all just wanted to say that I really love your show, and my question is, I just wanted to say that you're awesome! Um.")
I do remember three questions in a row that all began "My question is for David Hewlett, and you're going to hate me for this..." None of them were particularly hate-inspiring, however, just boring. One of them may have been the awesome line.
Oddly, the smartest TV panel I attended was the Jericho screening. Without a fanbase or anything to nitpick, all of the questions were relatively cogent versions of "Will this show be smart enough for me?" (And mostly related to Lost's disappointing S2.)
But it's true! He's made of awesome!
He is! Aw, that's very sweet - the postcard thing.
I've been offline at Comic Con for the past 4 days
Dude! I saw you there! You were leaving the convention center and I thought, "That looks exactly like photos I've seen of Jessica. But she lives in New York, what are the odds she flew out here?" The BSG panel ruled, but where the hell were our promos???? I was so bummed that there was nothing.

What'd you think?
This was the second time I'd seen the pilot, and my feelings haven't really changed -- it's VERY well-made, and could turn into something great, but the characters didn't grab me.
The answers from the writers/creators were promising, though. (And both of the girls in the cast were outgeeking the guys by MILES, which was really fun. Enough to make me want to watch just for that.)

Aw, man! I wasn't really expecting to bump into anyone -- in a crowd od 100,000+, what are the odds? -- but it would have been great to meet you! (Clearly, running into CaBil twice used up all of my random-connection-ma. Hi CaBil!)

Aaah. Thanks for explaining.
Someone displayed his giant Stargate tattoo with something-or-other in the middle. It was very ornate.
Is it too much to hope that one of the ghosts in the footage might be Samara or Sadako and hop out of the screen to get Hewitt when she's watching dailies?
