A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
"Charmed treated witchcraft like a romantic comedy. Buffy was a send-up of the genre. Hex takes itself seriously."
Yeah, that's even less...anything. Passions is a very silly soap opera. Other soaps take the story more seriously, to varying degrees. That does not mean "serious" show is better, or even that it is good.
Boy, Hologram!Doctor got to the part of his farewell speech to Rose where he turns and looks at her and tells her to live her life and my eyes just start welling up.
Sigh.
Meanwhile, I'm really enjoying the very short little promos that they are doing for
Eureka.
They remind me of SciFi's station id thingies. Very cute.
Dr. Who finale:
My heart, she is broke. But the new guy seems, well, I don't know. Adorable!
Poor Capt. Jack, dead, alive, and totally ditched.
I am hoping that Rose resurrected Lynda with a Y as well as the other folks on the station.
When will Sci Fi channel get Christmas Invasion?
I am hoping that Rose resurrected Lynda with a Y as well as the other folks on the station.
Oh yeah! I remember liking her. Didn't she end up getting all badass with a gun by the end of it?
Resurrecting Lynda would have been harder, as she was...sucked out into space. Jack was just dead. Although Jack could use a sidekick. Poor, ditched Jack.
Raise your hand if "OMG! Parting Gifts!"
I hope we get Christmas Invasion.
There are lots of bits that seem like they're important, even beyond Rose ending the Time War. Just so much bigness.
eta: Nice callback to The Unquiet Dead with recycling dead bodies.
No word on Christmas Invasion or Season 2. DArn that Scifi.
The first time I saw TPotW, I had to watch "Primeval". In fact, this weekend I believe I will watch "Primeval" AND "The Christmas Invasion".
Oh, and the Ninth Doctor's second goodbye to Rose also always makes me tear up.
