Jane! Writing BSG?

OMG -- they've figure out they need to have humor! Yay!

Oh, cute casting spoiler. Just t counts on fingers six more and they'll have the full set! Er, if you count SGA in there. Which I do.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The BSG screening/panel/reception was AWESOME. They showed us the S2 finale, and then Matt Roush led a panel (Ron Moore, David Eicke, Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, and Jamie Bamber were all there), and then there was a trivia contest to win signed posters. (I didn't win -- my hand just wasn't quick enough.)

And then there was a reception afterwards with a much smaller crowd -- basically just the VIPs and friends and press -- which was SO MUCH FUN. There were a ton of people E knew from TV Guide there, so we hung with them, and talked to Jamie, and Jamie's wife (who is fantastic and wonderful and totally deserves him, damnit), and then Mary came by and chatted, and it was just a blast. They gave no S3 spoilers, but they DID show us a brand new S3 teaser promo with a ton of new footage. Hopefully it'll be up online or airing soon.

The panel will be up on www.mtr.org on Wednesday as a webcast.

We took a few pictures, which are here.

I shouldn't say there were no spoilers, as both MM and EJO gave some false ones. When asked where the characters were at the beginning of S3, MM's answer was "Well, our [gesturing to herself and EJO] relationship has certainly changed....we have three kids..."

EJO said that he was getting killed off in the premiere, which had us all very worried because he was SO deadpan and matter of fact about it, but then at the party MM assured us that "Yeah, he really has to stop saying that in interviews...that's how rumors get started!!"

Jamie's answer was simply "In Jenny Craig," which got a big laugh.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

While I personally was spoiled ages ago, I have to say I don't appreciate SciFi showing a next week week promo that revealed the Daleks were behind everything 10 minutes before that surprise was revealed at the end of the episode.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Geez, Matt that does indeed smell of past-prime comestibles.

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, they aired it BEFORE Rose was distintigrated even.

It was just wrong.

They should have just aired another ad for the dvds.

And what are mini-hardcover books anyway?

Great pictures, Jess. I think I see an lj icon-to-be in there - "Oh, yeah," indeed.

Art Crawl!!!

Hmmm, just noticed Paul McGann in the promo for the Next "Crimes of Passion" thing on BBCA - last week it was David Tennant. Next week?

The BBC aired those give-everything-away promos during the series. The concept of suprise doesn't seem to have taken root there (OTOH, they were promoting the hell out of the return of the Daleks anyway, so there wouldn't have been many people left to spoil).

New ep 2.8:

Boy, that was scary. Very Alien-esque. OK, very lots-of-other-sci-fi-esque, but it certainly worked.
