For me, the question isn't whether it's lite or not, it's... well, it's whether I start seeing the sadistic hand of the creator, you know? I want to believe the universe really works this way, rather than seeing the author rubbing their hands together and thinking of another awful thing that can be done to the characters.
BSG has people in a pretty extreme situation, so you can go pretty far, but they've flirted with my personal line a few times. I could totally go for another nice French farce episode, or something.
They could turn Lee into a puppet....

Captain Jack came off as kind of smarmy and sleazy
Yeah. That was my opinion. He felt like he was trying way too hard to be the lovable rogue.
Maybe it was all the talk about the episode being creepy around here, but it came across as just weird rather than creepy for me.

I agree! I didn't like Captain Jack at first either, but he grew on me.
I need to see the 2nd part Right Now! You taunting taunters are taunting me. Also, I reserve the right not to like Captain Jack any better if I don't want to.

Oh, and I do remember one thing that annoyed me about Captain Jack in The Empty Child. Lighting up and then keeping Big Ben's clock lit during an air raid? Bad.
