"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I *thought* that the credits used to have the name of whoever was playing the Doctor, but I could be wrong. I haven't seen an episode of the original series in... (out of fingers error) years.

Yeah, it's been pretty long for me too. I just can't remember seeing "Tom Baker" or "Peter Davison" or "John Pertwee" when I was watching it. It may just be that the credits were all like the writer credit on the show is now, and not flashy like the actors.

If I only had a brain...

I think the Doctor is usually named in the end credits, either as "The Doctor" (his correct title) or as "Doctor Who" (the name of the show, not the person.)

Early shows used to start with a picture of the current Doctor, followed by "Doctor Who" in the logo script, but no actor credit.

I can sympathise with hating the talking over the end credits, because the BBC does that too (usually trailing the Confidential over on BBCTHREE or next week's episode). At least we get the credits full size, though.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Regarding the RDA Simpsons ep--so funny! Especial with [casting spoiler] RDA coming out of retirement, too, that he would start back with the Simpsons and end up being fanboyish about his own show. Very funny. Also, on his website, RDA said "Now my career is complete." Love that man.

Is there anyone out there who's got Doctor Who on a Tivo season pass who would like to put the May and June episodes on a tape if I sent you a few? I'm going to be moving at the end of the month and will be flat f*cking broke until September due to bills, so I'm going to cancel my cable completely (and save $120/month). I'm taping the shows until I move, but won't be able to afford to buy the DVDs until after the holidays (if I don't get them for Xmas).

E-mail me at my profile addy if you can help a poor addicted Who fan!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

apropos of very little, I saw a van with the name "Lex Business Solutions" on it the other day ... and of course my mind went to "kill the competition?"
