The best part is when the screen-critters make noise, or obscure subtitles or setting information. Like, hello! You don't make the doink-doink noise on Law & Order and then not tell us where and when!!

I'd spent the whole show thinking "Damn, where have I seen that Dickens actor before?" No joy from Sci-Fi. IMDB told me that it was the mighty Simon Callow, familiar to many from "Four Weddings And A Funeral".

Isn't this the first time they've had any actors in the credits for a Dr. Who show? I know it surprised me the first time I saw the credits for Rose and had "Christopher Eccleston" AND "Billie Piper" comin' at me in Important 3-D(ish) Font. That and the music gave me such a fun shiver up the back.

I *thought* that the credits used to have the name of whoever was playing the Doctor, but I could be wrong. I haven't seen an episode of the original series in... (out of fingers error) years.

Yeah, it's been pretty long for me too. I just can't remember seeing "Tom Baker" or "Peter Davison" or "John Pertwee" when I was watching it. It may just be that the credits were all like the writer credit on the show is now, and not flashy like the actors.
