Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Oh dear Lord, puppets!

It's not as if they've never used puppets before. All of the Asgard are puppets, right?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

DX, I think some of the time. Other times, they're CG.

Just read a fan's comment which said she's so happy Dr. Who is back that she'd love a test pattern if it opened with the show's theme. I can relate.

If I only had a brain...

Oh, yeah. Although I'd be grateful if the test pattern included Christopher Eccleston.

I get the same surge of glee as I used to get from the Buffy theme. For a few seconds, all is well in the world.

I couldn't believe how psyched I was watching the new opening credits for the first time. I can't think of a piece of theme music that amps up my enthusiasm more than the Dr. Who theme. Much as I love some other iconic theme music - Buffy, The Avengers, The Prisoner & Sealab 2021 all come to mind off the top of my head - nothing gives me quite the chill glee that the Dr. Who theme does. Maybe "Woke up this Morning" from The Sopranos, but that's not an original to the show. I couldn't believe how psyched I was watching the new opening credits for the first time.

I think the amazing thing is it doesn't sound dated like a lot of classic theme songs. And I curse the SciFi channel for doing their usual blahblahblah over the end credits. The music in the opening credits doesn't last long enough - I want more of it!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The other thing that does it for me is the TARDIS sound effect.

Oh, yes.

And I'm really impressed -- when I heard they'd updated the theme, my heart sank. The new theme is still completely the Doctor Who theme, only cooler. Much like the show.
