The only kid's show that ever freaked me out was the Bloodhound Gang on 3-2-1 Contact.
I wonder if it was the same episode that freaked me out. I also can't recall the details of it, but I know I was freaked.
'Time Bomb'
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I was freaked out by storm warnings and "Do not adjust your set, we are experience technical difficulties" announcements.
I HATED it when the TV set talked to me. That wasn't its job.
Kevin Smith talks about his love for BSG (or as he calls, "B-Star-G") in his blog.
This is a great paragraph:
Without changing much of the original “Galactica” premise, the creators and folks involved with the show have done the equivalent of taking a covered wagon and creating a BMW from the design: it still takes you from place to place, but now it does so while keeping you safe from the elements, getting you there quicker, warming your ass with heated, leather seats, and bathing your ears in audio delights from an iPod-friendly sound-system. With the mini-series alone, these people managed to not simply just teach an old dog new tricks; they taught that bitch to speak, travel to alternate dimensions, fold space, and cure cancer.
That blog entry once again makes me wonder how many people are not watching, just because of the name....
Probably the same number of people who refuse to watch Buffy, just because of the name.
Yeah, I was thinking a while back how both Buffy and BSG have suffered because of their names. I might have even posted something about that. Or maybe I dreamt it.

I wonder that, too. And also can't recall the details, just the freaked.

There are plenty of people with a visceral hate-on for the the original BSG who didn't want to watch a remake because of said hate-on. We are hard to convince, but some of us have added the mini-series to our Netflix queue. I consider our fear a more legit reason to avoid something than the Buffy name thing.

I don't think it's more legit (because stuff has changed, and many probably have no idea if it was the stuff that bugged them) but it does read better.

I stayed away from Buffy until S4 because of the movie, so I sympathize.
