Lorne: Take care of yourself and ah, make sure fluffy is getting enough love. Gunn: Did he have anything? Fred: No. And who's fluffy? Are you fluffy? Gunn: He called me fluffy? Fred: He said make sure…wait. You don't think he was referring to anything of mine that's fluffy, do you? Because that would just be inappropriate.

I did notice the teaser being incredibly long, but was still surprised when it ended. Because I'm forgetful.

I would have liked it if Baltar (or Roslin, but for plot purposes Baltar would have worked better) had voiced the option of splitting the fleet. Put a colony on the new planet, and continue looking for Earth. That would have made more sense than the all-or-nothing option, and you could see the appeal of the idea while also recognizing that it was a Bad Idea. And similarly, when Roslin went on about how the Cylons might already know about the new planet, I think Baltar should have pointed out that the Cylons might already know where Earth is, too. And/or that there was no guarantee that it was a safe haven.

So, yeah. The debate part bugged a few times. Oh, but I did catch the Reagan line, and giggled.

Overall it didn't knock me on my ass the way I kinda expected, but I hope/expect that next week's will. Mostly because this one felt so much like set-up.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Which one was Reagan? I caught the Bush culture of fear references, myself.

That's how I felt too.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Who is the actor? He looks very familiar?

Let's see if this jogs your memory: "Sam! Ziggy!"

I loves me some Quantum Leap...

This ep was definitely set up for next week, but I liked it. Loved Baltar's total cluelessness when it comes to political opportunity! Even Chip-Six is getting really tired of his ineptitude in that arena, which is interesting if she's only a manifestation of part of him, because that means he's getting tired of it too, and might decide to do some fast learning in the near future.

"There you go again." Imagine it in the Gipper's inimitable tone.

I loved "Oh, give up!...Give up...on finding Earth?" This episode was funnier than most have been in a long while. "Maybe because I'm a Cylon and I've never seen you at any of the meetings."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Buh. I totally thought there was another act left.

THEY ALWAYS FRACKING DO THAT.

So, yeah. The debate part bugged a few times.

Eh, it was at least as smart as any real presidential debate I've ever seen.

Oh, yeah, I wondered if the polarity was kind of the point. Not unrealistic, it just irked that it wasn't at least brought up as an option.

Like, it'd be funny if Zarek became the voice of moderation and reason. And not an impossible place for them to go.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yesterday I bought a new video iPod, so just for the frak of it I downloaded "Downloaded" from the iTunes music store and watched it on my iPod. I was surprised at how good a picture I got on the iPod. There were more noticeable artifacts of the digital compression than there are on my digital cable, but besides that the picture looked great. I'm curious how well it'd look on a monitor or TV screen, as the iTunes TV video downloads are at a lower resolution than standard TV.

Now I wish I had a longer commute so I could watch TV programs on the train....

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Who played the cop that was involved with one of the sisters in the very early days of the show?

that was Ted King. he's on General Hospital these days and still looking fine.

the music on BSG was weird and very un-BSG-like. the rest? eh. they're not doing a very good job of making these episodes cohesive. it feels like there should be episodes in between explaining how we got here.
