There are entirely too many choices amongst DVD sets of certain shows. I've no idea which Farscape set is best, and so I've bought none. I need complete sets of BtVS and AtS, but I'm paralyzed by too many choices.

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Zen,
get the starburst set for Farscape. It is cheaper than the previous sets, but it isn't yet complete. I think they are in the 3rd season for it.
Marvy, le nubian, thanks! I was thinking of doing that very thing; glad to have my choice confirmed.
Finally got around to watching SciFi Friday! Both Stargates were cute. I liked the BSG ep a lot -- not a huge fan of Starbuck opening fire in the lounge, but not terribly surprised either. Truth is, she was always better as a hotshot viper pilot than as a commander. She doesn't work well with others, and she really likes shooting things.
Sad to see Billy go, but he was doomed the moment the ring came out. I liked the parallel of Starbuck listening in on Lee and Dualla in the infirmary. I liked Starbuck's panicked reaction on the phone after she shot Lee, too -- not just that he might die, but also knowing full well that she's already gotten away with killing one of Adama's sons, and he wouldn't forgive her a second time.
Starbuck was the most interesting aspect of the Show - she is at a point where being a hotshot doesn't work anymore, yet she has no idea what to do.
and Lee is gonna be giving her such grief for shooting him....
If Lee and Dee get together over Billy's grave...well, there's a lot too much rhyming to start off with.
Also, it's kinda icky.
I agree -- icky and too rhyming.
I was kind of pleasantly surprised by the frisson between Lee and Dee way back during that training scene. Since then, every time the show goes there, it's random and forced. Bums me out. So, the big traingle showdown did nothing for me. And now there's no Billy! I hope I see that actor on my screen again soon.
Jen, I was thinking the same thing -- there was that random chemistry between them in the sparring scene but in their other scenes, it's just not there.

Exactly. this.
I wish they would just forget this entire plotline. Personally, I think the training scene worked due to good directing or something but there's no spark between those two. Plus, and this is my military background flaring up, it bothers me that an officer is openly dating an enlisted person. It wasn't okay for Boomer and Chief, why would it be okay now?
