Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I stumbled across a BSG casting spoiler (honest! it was in the entertainment section of my newspaper) for later this season and a major number of episodes next year that is making me happy. Not fall-over-dead-of-joy happy, which would be the case if a certain favorite actor of mine was involved, but happy indeed.

Art Crawl!!!

There was a big one mentioned in Zap2it and ScfiWire earlier this week (or was it last week? It all runs together.) And posted in Spoilers lite. Hmmm wonder if it was that one.

I'll agree with that. If we are all talking about the same spoiler. Good stuff but not OMG that is the bestest news.

SGA - yeah, whatever, alien entity takeover of people that know all the codes and stuff. Kind of a filler episode. I did enjoy Not!Skinner though. Nice to see what happened to him. Good level of tension with his return.

Have to do a little work before the BSG break.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh yeah, there was one scene that I'll have to pay more attention on during a rewatch. What was the main terrorist chick's name? Anyway, she told Adama that a Cylon infiltrated the defense computers (or something) right before the attack. Adama apparantly just considered this part of her conspiracy theory nonsense. Anywah, terrorist chick is dead, but her 'Zine o' Conspiracy Theories is now floating all over the fleet. So I'm thinking that eventually this will all lead back to Baltar, but with this show it could take a few years....

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, I did a search on Amazon for Due South and this is what I came up with.

It's weird how there are entries at the lower price and then other entries at OMG so expensive!Price.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I kinda figured that the OMG!expensive ones were "imports" (though how hard is it to import things from Canada?)

Plus they don't have a S1/S2 boxed set on Amazon. Color me puzzled.

Art Crawl!!!

Deepdiscountdvd doesn't have a season 1 & 2 boxed set either, but their prices are somewhat better than Amazon's. (Although, I think that Season 2 is cheaper at Amazon.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

There are entirely too many choices amongst DVD sets of certain shows. I've no idea which Farscape set is best, and so I've bought none. I need complete sets of BtVS and AtS, but I'm paralyzed by too many choices.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Zen,

get the starburst set for Farscape. It is cheaper than the previous sets, but it isn't yet complete. I think they are in the 3rd season for it.

Marvy, le nubian, thanks! I was thinking of doing that very thing; glad to have my choice confirmed.
