What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I do think the dual assassination plots are a bit too much, that they're identical. But what a mess.

But they're not identical, though. Adama's plan is Boomer's assassination attempt: because it worked; she should have just shot him in the head. It's up close and personal. Cain's, on the other hand, is, in essence, a military coup: Fisk, rather than shooting Adama himself, is to order some Marines to take Adama out in addition to the rest of his command. The timing is the same, but the strategies and philosophies are completely different.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Cain ordered the execution of Adama's entire command -- everybody in CIC. Total coup.

Yeah, I caught that -- not just a coup, but a coup enabled by a massacre. I still think it's all a bit too writerly/convenient to have the setup be exactly the same.

Anyone taking bets on the person with the gun to Caine's head in the promo being Lee instead Kara? Or are we all convinced it's Caine's XO? (What's his name, anyway?)

Fisk. Like Kingpin!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I do like that Adama's plan reeks of desperation and opportunity and quick in and out. Though not sure about the out.

Cain, OTOH, has an implied exit strategy, and she's not assassinating so much as establishing tight control.

Loved the Dan/Cam show on SG1, and I don't hate the Jaffa. Orlin was...weird. No love there.

Ronon is so fucking hot, and hidden knives? Yeah, sumi, good call.

"And the clowns?" "Clowns? Oh, yeah, the clowns. We fight them too--entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens. We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in."

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? I laughed my ass off.

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? I laughed my ass off.

Wasn't it great (in a completely random way)? It was his delivery that sent me into fits, I think.

What I didn't realize until just now is that he already knew she was a plant at that point. Hence the wacky diversionary tactic. A la, "Look! Flying dead turtles!" So she thought he was crazy but not dodging her.

Thrive to spite them

I loved the John's bit about clowns. Some people took that as more evidence that John is gay. Well that combined with his lack of interest in the planted chick.

The clown reference logic going: He's referencing Send in the Clowns! It's from a musical! John must watch musicals! Therefore he's gay!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Oh, fandom, with your logic which makes the insane trolls point and laugh.

Our wings are not tired.

Ronon was breathtakingly HOTT last night.

I loved the comparision/contrast of the Caine/Adama assasination plans. Same objective, totally different styles, and neither is going to come off as planned.

Oh, fandom, with your logic which makes the insane trolls point and laugh.

I need to start watching SGA, BSG, SG-1 from now on. I would appreciate the lightheartedness of SG-1 after the intensity of BSG. The staying up till midnight thing is tough though.
