A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I LOVED Krull.

I was also, umm... (checks IMDB) 9.

Huh. Liam Neeson's in it? Dude, it's totally time for a rewatch-and-cringe.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Daniel ... thanks for that. The Tom Baker voice was spot on.

Oh, yes - that was funny. Dude looked eerily like Tennant, too.

Krull -- it's kind of like the story of a video game. Kind of fun. Our hero has a couple of quests to manage before he faces the beast that guards the place where the princess is, I think.

Oh, good heavens. There's a lava pit. It's Zelda!! (We wastedspent a lot of time on Zelda in college)

All is well that ends in pizza.

Daniel ... thanks for that. The Tom Baker voice was spot on.

On the web site for the Dead Ringers group, they have a "Candid Camera" type feature, where he arranges to baffle a tanning salon employee.

I loved the bit with the tinfoil, too.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I LOVED Krull.

ME TOO!!

But dude, looking at it now...damn. It really wasn't that good of a movie, huh.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

I'm hoping to, once I can figure out how to get my grubby hands on it. I've heard so much about Eccleston (and Capt. Jack!) that I really, really want to see it.

The DVDs will be released before the show ever airs in the US. The beeb has announced (somewhere) a Valentine's Day release for Doctor Who The Complete First Season (yes, I know) Box Set. Amazon is taking names, as in email addresses so they can notify you when it becomes available.

If you'd like an early look at Capt. Jack, or rather at John Barrowman, who plays him, go see The Producers. He has a cameo, a choice one: he's Lead Tenor Stormtrooper in "Springtime For Hitler." If you're gonna do a cameo there are worse ones than lead singer in the show's big musical within a musical number. A serious Broadway voice he's got. :: )

I made some dvdr discs to convert my sister/family. having already converted my sister, i can pass them on to you. the rest of my family is too busy to get involved with another show right now.

just let me know if you're interested.

Art Crawl!!!

Mikey -- Doctor Who the Complete First Season is coming out in March -- you mean Doctor Who 2005.

On edit: I guess I was confusing season 1 with The Beginnings. . . how confusing is it for the BBC to call the Eccleston Doctor season 1?

If I only had a brain...

Krull is one of the worst movies made during the post-Star Wars glut, which is saying something.

Pretty heroine, though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Krull is no Beastmaster, that's for sure.
