A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I suppose one can also carefully design one's insults to cause impact, though Rodney doesn't strike me as the type.
Don't credit me with careful design. It's just that if I want to hurt someone the insultt's more about them than me.
As for McKay, when you feel better than everyone, it's really easy to seem specifically offensive when it's really a broad spectrum thing.
Hell, I thought my father was sexist for years.
Uh, not that he was offensive. But, still.
So. Krull - thumbs up or thumbs down? Need something on in the background for a couple of hours...
If it's just in the background, it won't do much damage
Down, I suspect, based just on the name.
I think there's a weapon of some kind? With curved pointy bits? And possibly a chick who gets held hostage by a Dark Lord in a black stone castle with the weapon?
I think the Dark Lord wears a funky helmet.
So far, amusingly cheesy, but I'm flipping around.
And possibly a chick who gets held hostage by a Dark Lord in a black stone castle with the weapon?
Yes, this just happened. Well, the kidnapping part. She hasn't gotten to the castle or the lord yet.
Also slayers=bad guys in this world. Boo.
I LOVED Krull.
I was also, umm... (checks IMDB) 9.
Huh. Liam Neeson's in it? Dude, it's totally time for a rewatch-and-cringe.
Daniel ... thanks for that. The Tom Baker voice was spot on.
Oh, yes - that was funny. Dude looked eerily like Tennant, too.
Krull -- it's kind of like the story of a video game. Kind of fun. Our hero has a couple of quests to manage before he faces the beast that guards the place where the princess is, I think.
Oh, good heavens. There's a lava pit. It's Zelda!! (We wastedspent a lot of time on Zelda in college)
Daniel ... thanks for that. The Tom Baker voice was spot on.
On the web site for the Dead Ringers group, they have a "Candid Camera" type feature, where he arranges to baffle a tanning salon employee.
I loved the bit with the tinfoil, too.
