Wait, so the dude founded a whole organization to keep track of himself?? It this how private citizens get their own fan clubs, or was he just really bad at finding his keys?
And more to the point, what did fan clubs send to their members, before the invention of movable type? I bed calendars with engravings of one's idol just aren't as cool as pinup calendars with photos.
Methos founded the Watchers? Where was that established?
Does this Duncan S1 quote predate word of Methos?
The legend has it that Darius killed a holy man at the gates of Paris, the oldest living Immortal at the time. And suddenly he changed. He turned his back on war.

Even if he had set it up, Adam's Watcher-related activities
never
revealed details about himself. Quite the opposite -- he joined to make sure he was never found.
Okay, I found a S6 episode summary that says the Watchers were founded by someone who saw Gilgamesh revive.
One would think, given that he founded the Watchers, that if he weren't the oldest he would have found out about it.
Yeah, but why would he tell anybody?
::clutches newly-bought Highlander Season 1 to bosom, even though I hear it has no Methos::
I mean, he's the oldest known one, but there may be somebody even sneakier and better at flying under the radar. Or, y'know, shipwrecked in the Marianas Trench and slowly walking home in between drownings.
Boy is he gonna be pissed off when he gets back.

Especially when he realises he could have shucked the weights and tried floating up instead--he'd still have made time while he was dead that way.
I seem to recall Connor MacLeod sinking to the bottom and having to walk out, in the first Highlander movie. Maybe the Immies vary in floatyness.
Just watched some Who bloopers Daniel dled. Killer.
bloopers? wherefore art these bloopers?

I can't name the episode, but I remember Joe confronting him about having started the whole shebang. It was essentially a way to keep tabs on all his potential enemies.
