Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just watched a very young Colonel Tigh as the father in The Peanut Butter Solution, which is one extremely fucked-up movie.

Between this and Tommy Tricker the Stamp Traveller, I really wonder what the Canadian film industry was smoking in the 80's.

[eta: Aaaaaaaaand, according to IMDB, those two had the same director. Which explains a LOT.]

Son: "One of the old ones? With no Ben Browder or anything?"

Me: "Yup."

Son. "Oh." Stands up and wanders off to play video game.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Methos and Joe? I don't care if all they do is sit around drinking beer, I wanna watch. Am I the only one who thinks blues musician trumps skilled swordsman for Teh Hott?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You may not be the only one, but you certainly can't count me in your company. Now, if the skilled swordsman is also a blue musician...well, that's extra spicy.

Well, thank heavens you have different taste in men than me, ita... I'd hate to have to compete with you.

Mmmmm, though I did just have a lovely visual of being courted by both Joe and Methos.

If I only had a brain...

The problem with imagining oneself in a Highlander sandwich is that the first thing one knows, the swordsmen are macking on one another and have left one disconsolate on the edge of the bed.

For values of disconsolate that include "taking pictures" and "cheering on" it's worth that risk. And then some.

In fact, some might consider it the payoff.

Is this still the place for discussing Doctor Who? I just saw "The Christmas Invasion".....

The best bit was definitely the preview of the new series. Whitefont: Evil Giles !

All is well that ends in pizza.

Off to search for an ahem for Christmas Invasion

Didn't get much of a workout, myself, but the scenery was stunning.
