Oh my goodness, there is a hilarious SGA vid up at sga_flashfic on lj. I don't know about the etiquette of a direct link there, but if you want to laugh, check out Rumble by Shalott and Speranza.
'Shindig'
Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
BTW, Sabertooth is going to be on tomorrow afternoon.
Another fantastic SGA vid, this one played straight: Welcome Home, by Kanzeyori. Simply gorgeous--beautifully edited, great music, nice character insight.
I just finished that one - it's gorgeous.
Does anyone know of a Mac-friendly AVI player besides VLC? I tried installing the latter to view "Rumble," but it closes out immediately after opening on my drive.
ETA: Found a previous version that worked fine, though I still don't know why version 8 didn't run on either my laptop or my work computer.
People weren't kidding when they called that vid cracktastic!
Oh. My. God. Bestepisodeevah! That pink top! That cleavage! Rodney hallucinating and talking to himself. Sam Carter in a bra. Sam Carter in a wet bra! I'll be in me bunk!
Also, last time I actually watched these, I don't think I processed the fact that Blank Reg calls his wife "Dom."
Man. I wish I had these on VHS, because that went over my head on first viewing and even on the tape rewatches, back when I still had my old stash of tapes.
(Random fannish trivia note: the actor who played Blank Reg is the father of the actor who played Badger on Firefly. This is filed in the same portion of my brain as "Kendra the Vampire Slayer was played by the daughter of the guy who played Molly Dodd's fiance, Detective Nate Hawthorne." Why my brain can remember this crap, but not if we have enough sugar/diapers/coffee in the house is a constant source of mystery and wonder.)
I love Blank Reg! Sheppard something, isn't that his name?
Some brilliant fannish type encoded a bunch of Max Headroom a year or so ago, so I torrented them: I think I've got 8 episodes. Yay me! I haven't watched more than one or two, though, and I still don't have the American Pilot, with the Right Murray.
Yeah. William Sheppard, IIRC.
I still don't have the American Pilot, with the Right Murray.
Which, oddly enough, may be the ONE episode I can still track down, because it was taped on the same tape as Aliens, and was thus with my parents' tapes, not mine, so survived my brother decorating his bedroom with, well, the tape. I should see if they still have it, and if Paul can salvage it for me at work.
