Okay. So the people who are living out a tragic meaningless life in Egypt in Suela's story are Daniel A and Jack, Sam, and Teal'C B?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Dorkverse?

Sorry. The Sam and Daniel from the no-Stargate Program timeline are v. v. dorky. The actors ham it up like crazy.

I think Suela's stories are all set before Jack and Sam and Teal'c A died, so they're all As.

You know what I like about FARSCAPE? The real, our-universe John Crichton is amazingly dorky. That takes guts.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The fictional apple didn't fall far from the real tree, I'm thinking. Ben Browder is a huge sci-fi geek who just happened to be born with the looks and acting talent of a leading man.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Not only that, he writes very well, and later on scripts some of the really cool episodes. I'd have to hate him if he wasn't One of Us.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

stop making me want to watch, Farscape!

I watched the entire series in less than 30 days and i really think a rewatch is in order. just have to get my hands on all the seasons dvds so i don't have to sit at the computer to do it.

P-C, if you aren't hooked by the time The Flax rolls around i have a feeling you won't be.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

When is that?

And I anticipate being hooked. I've had various thoughts today of wanting to see the stories that could be told about these people on this ship...kind of like Firefly.

Yup, I'm all about the angst of the original team getting stuck in the land without plumbing for the rest of their lives because they were stupid enough to listen to Daniel.

Other people (most notably Butterfly and BetaCandy on LJ) have done some good stuff looking at what happens in Ancient Egypt after the Dorkverse folks show up. Me, I have less connection to them.

I've had various thoughts today of wanting to see the stories that could be told about these people on this ship...kind of like Firefly.

Heh. Thus it starts. Farscape has its problems, and it misses some opportunities, but when it worked -- oh, my. Hit the ball out of the park. And pick a sci-fi cliche: they've done it, and generally turned it on its head. So fun.

Maybe they begat a new race. Maybe Sam C is Sam A's great-great-...-granddaughter from lots of nookie with Jack A.
