Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Also, do you think we'll get to see the Pegasus press gang going through Colonial One and the other civilian ships that are under Galactica's protection?

I'm sure Cain has had their press corps shot by now, or else drafted into being Cylon bait or something.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Different kind of press gang, I expect. Fewer questions, more hitting people over the head and conscripting them into the fleet.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Okay, so is the general consensus that there is no way that Balthar is a cylon and he is just a lucky guesser?

I don't buy the lucky guess shit, but if that's the general consensus, I'll shut up about it.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I only "buy" lucky guesses inasmuch as, sometimes writers have more sense of the dramatic than they have common sense.

If Baltar were a cylon, why did the sexbot have to seduce him? Why all the chain-yanking, that leads to "You are creepy!" reactions from other people, if there isn't a specific action needed at that moment? Consider the counter example of the clueless version of Boomer, who blacked out, did stuff, and then blacked back in in private locations where she could re-orient secretly. (Except that last, by necessity.)

If Baltar is a cylon, then the cylons are too stupid to live.

Which, in this universe, puts them neither above nor below the humans.

On a somewhat more meta level, a big reason Baltar is such an interesting character is that his weakness led to the betrayal of the human race in the mini. If they made him a Cylon, the writers would just be throwing that interesting part away.

I've been wondering when the human beings were taken before copies were made. They weren't always cylon, were they?

Sure. but what if all activated cylons don't quite act like Boomer.

Okay, I buy this. :-)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Why not? Have we ever been told anything that would indicate otherwise?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Hmm. Interesting. Okay. I had another assumption.

I thought they were switched with their human bodies at some point. I cannot recall why I think that.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I've been thinking this since the miniseries so I need some correction if I'm just flat out wrong.

We've never seen evidence of this. Could be, but....

They made a point that the civilian guy in the mini who turned out to be a Cylon had only been on the ship for two weeks. Sharon had been there longer, but she did mention that both her parents were dead, which would make sense as a background story for a Cylon that just appeared at some point.
