I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Art Crawl!!!

I listened to my BSG season one soundtrack on my way to and from work today and also read the lyrics on the songs that they show. This one is just too funny:

Maledetto sia tuo cuore Cylone
C’é una tostapane nella tua testa
E porta tachi a spillo

Numero Sei ti chiama
Il rivelatore Cylone impone
La tua ragazza è un tostapane

Maledetta siu tuo cuore Cylone
Ahimè, disgrazia! Ahimè, tristezza e miseria!

ll tostapana ha un bel vestito
Rosso come la sua spina dorsale ardente
Sussura Numero Sei
Per tuo commando

Sung in operatic style. Here is the English:

Woe upon your Cylon heart
There's a toaster in your head
And it wears high heels

Number Six calls to you
The Cylon Detector beckons
Your girlfriend is a toaster

Woe upon your Cylon heart!
Alas, disgrace! Alas, sadness and misery!

The toaster has a pretty dress
Red like its glowing spine
Number Six whispers
By your command

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I sense the next Broadway hit....

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Me, I'm seeing a whole opera cycle, like the Ring of the Nibelung or something.

With only a half dozen exceptions in my 40-plus years [in Hollywood], I've never allowed anyone else to stir my porridge. And as far as 'Repent, Harlequin!' is concerned, well, even I consider this gig to be a ball-buster. I wouldn't trust it to anyone else.

Is it just me? or is this porny?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm not sure about the porniness, I'm too busy squeeing over "'Repent, Harlequin!' Said the TicktockMan" being one screen. I love it with an unholy love beyond reason.

Why am aI not working? Instead, I'm reading BSG trivia: [link]

  • Commander Adama has a shaving mirror in his cabin. This mirror is made by IKEA, and is a model called called "Frack", which is the primary vulgarity in the Battlestar Galactica universe.
  • In episode #1.1, "33", the pilots in the briefing room touch a picture of a man looking out at the destruction of his city. Although not explained in the episode that aired, the picture was introduced in a scene cut from the episode where it was presented to President Roslin (Mary McDonnell). It was supposed to have been taken on the roof of the capitol building in Aerilon City during the Cylon attack. Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore said that the picture was inspired by the famous picture of the fireman raising the American flag at the World Trade Center site in New York City following the terrorist attacks on the USA of 11 September 2001.
  • The telephone handset used on the bridge of the Galactica is a US Army issues field telephone used since the Korean War, known as the TA-1.

I want a Frack mirror....
